About the Role:

VentureRecruit is recruiting on behalf of a well-established roofing contractor for an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee pitched roofing projects across North Devon and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of work and long-term project stability.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring multiple live roofing projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, buying team, subcontractors and site operatives, typically overseeing around 15 live contracts at any one time.

Requirements:

• Carry out pre-start roof inspections to ensure sites are ready for installation.
• Complete mid-project quality inspections and final roof sign-offs.
• Coordinate roofing teams and labour across multiple projects.
• Deliver regular toolbox talks and promote a strong health and safety culture.
• Monitor material requirements and liaise with the buying department.
• Schedule roof-ready dates and manage programmes of work.
• Attend subcontractor and site progress meetings.
• Identify and report design or specification changes.
• Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure projects remain on programme.
• Maintain high standards of quality, organisation and site presentation.
• Ensure company procedures and health and safety requirements are followed across all projects.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience supervising construction or roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of pitched roofing systems and installation methods.
• At least 3 years’ experience within the construction industry.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
• Proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Confident liaising with site teams, subcontractors and management.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Based within a reasonable commuting distance of North Devon.
