Job Title: CSCS Labourer

Location: Newton Abbot

Job Type: Temporary (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)

About the Role: As a CSCS Labourer, you’ll be responsible for supporting construction projects by carrying out a range of general site duties across Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas. Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you’ll assist with site operations, help maintain a safe and productive working environment, and contribute to the successful completion of projects. This role requires staying away from home during the week, so applicants must be flexible and comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.

Requirements:

• Assist skilled tradespeople with day-to-day site operations.
• Move and lift construction materials safely around site.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Carry out basic site preparation and general labouring duties.
• Support the smooth running of busy construction sites.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, site rules and company procedures.
• Be willing to stay away from home during the week when required.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in construction or general labouring is desirable but not essential.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, safety boots and gloves).
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to travel and stay away during the week.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors and tradespeople.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude towards learning and supporting the team.
