About the Role:

We are recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Carpenter on behalf of a well-established construction company operating across Devon.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, offering long-term, stable work and the opportunity to join the company directly following a successful temporary period.

The successful candidate will be confident carrying out a wide range of carpentry duties across residential and construction projects. You will be expected to work independently when required, maintain a high standard of workmanship and represent the company professionally while working on site and in customers’ properties.

Requirements:

• Carry out all aspects of first-fix and second-fix carpentry.
• Install first-floor joists and roof joists.
• Fit UPVC windows and doors.
• Install kitchens.
• Fit staircases.
• Install doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.
• Read and work from drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut and fit materials accurately.
• Complete refurbishment, repair and general carpentry works.
• Work alongside other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Carpenter or Multi-Skilled Carpenter.
• Strong experience in both first-fix and second-fix carpentry.
• Confident installing kitchens, staircases, joists, windows and doors.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider construction team.
• Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A CSCS Card is not required for this position.
